kazuha had BLINKED upon seeing the call from kaito, but she answered it before putting it to her own ear. her eyebrows furrow in confusion, however, upon hearing kaito’s request to open her door, but she nods ( even though kaito can’t see her ) as she states, ‘ yeah, i got ya. ’ walking to the front of her apartment, kazuha opens the door with one hand only to blink ( yet again ) when she notices no one there.
‘ err – kaito – ’she starts before realising her folly ( would kaito really go through the front door ? well, he DID sometimes, but… ) ‘ ya need ta tell me if yer at the front door or the balcony door ‘cause if ya just say “door” i dun’o what you mean, ’ she complains as she walks from the front door to her apartment to her balcony, opening the curtains and the door. she hung up the phone once she’d opened the curtains and put it back in her pocket. still, despite her complaints, she GRINS when she sees kaito. ‘ ya couldn’t’ve used the front door like a normal person, idiot ? ’
“I thought you knew me better than that, Kazuha! Did you really expect me to use the front door, like a normal person?”
He’s only teasing despite the hurt leaking into his voice, and his grin is proof enough. Kazuha knows he’s not exactly a ‘normal person’, and frankly, he’s more offended that she would clump him in with the common rabble.
“I only use the front door for people I don’t like. It makes them confused and scared.”
He slides past Kazuha and through the doorway, but not before producing a rose the same color as her bow and sticking it in her hair.
“You know, that’s a magician thing. When you do a trick too much, people start to expect the trick, so you have to change it up and do something else.”
