PERSONALITY

KAITO. Kaito is, in one word, a magician. He’s a showman at heart, and he loves showing off and performing for other people, even if just to assert his role as the best magician in Ekoda - or in this case, Koi. He’s very judgmental and condescending, especially towards people who claim to be smarter or better at magic than him, and will go out of his way to prove them wrong (as Kaito or as KID). Still, he’s a tsundere at heart, and will go out of his way to simultaneously cheer somebody up and make sure they know that he doesn’t care about their feelings.
KID. On the other hand, KID is mysterious, suave and charming. While he often plays the flirt with women at his heists - and has fans that include actresses, princesses and other thieves alike - he also flirts with danger, letting his detectives chase him and always getting away (sometimes with seconds to spare). He speaks cryptically and eloquently, just like a true gentleman thief, but his pompous air is still by far the largest thing that makes him, well, KID. Regardless, however, he will always do what’s right, whether that involves saving somebody or, as he is wont to do, returning his stolen goods (as long as they’re not Pandora, that is).

POWERS AND ABILITIES

CARDGUN. KID has a cardgun with varying levels of power- depending on its setting, a card sent flying from its barrel can range from ‘gently knock a gem out of your hand’ to ‘cut steel cables in half like they’re butter’.
MAGIC RESISTANCE. Kaito is resistant - and most likely immune - to emotional and psychological magic, including (but not limited to) emotional manipulation, telepathy, hypnosis and brainwashing. However, he is still susceptible to kinetic or attack magic, such as telekinesis or elemental magic.
VOICE MANIPULATION. Kaito can alter his voice to sound like anybody that he’s heard before- only KID uses this ability, however, or else it would be suspicious otherwise.
MAGIC AND DISGUISE. As a master at magic and thievery, Kaito has come up with many heists, both with his associate Jii and by himself. He’s also a master of disguise, thanks to his father’s tutelage (the same father who taught him magic, and the late Kaitou KID), and combined with his unique voice talent and his 300 IQ, can easily pass off as anybody- that is, if he has the concentration for it.

EXTRA

STUDIES. Currently a full-time dual-majoring in Physics and Theatre. While he’s not particularly interested in acting, per se, he’s definitely good at it, and he admits that the practical experience helps with ~~heists~~ stage performances, not just of the theatrical variety.

ART ‘ENTHUSIAST’. You can often find him at Nightingale Hall, more often than not perusing the art and history floors. His favorite exhibits are the ones involving large gemstones- for no reason in particular, of course.
MAGIC INSPIRATION. While you can find inspiration anywhere, Kaito prefers to look for it in antiques and toys, to keep his magic tricks filled with child-like wonder. That’s why he often goes to Benjo and Nightshade to peruse- loansharks, you say? Oh, no, that doesn’t scare him off. That just makes him all the more interested in their wares.
